I have a love-hate relationship with e-mail. While the convenience and real-time factor can’t be beat, it introduces all sorts of issues. Why did he email and not call? Is it because he sounds like a twelve-year-old? If email didn’t exist, would we even be talking at all? Why did I just cc the whole office with every detail of last night’s, uh, festivities? Perhaps if we relied less on the web and more on the hand-written, things would be simpler. So I’ve come up with five things that are sure to inspire you to pick up a pen instead of clicking “compose.” Check out my computer-generated SLIDESHOW to see what they are!
Clyde_Blunt seems to be drawn to great modern dress shapes, incredible colors and textures, and I guess fiercely fashionable dresses in general! I can see that her finds could very well be the future inhabitants of my entire Dream Team closet. Although any girl would love to add Proenza Schouler or Gaultier to their wardrobe, it is rare to find all types of fabulous, head-turning dresses at a variety of price ranges. But Clyde_Blunt seems to have all the bases covered, from the needs to wants and must-haves to the I-must-be-dreaming. So visit my SLIDESHOW to see all the to-die-for dresses you maybe can and can’t afford (but looking is free!). Hey, dreams do come true!

As we gear up for the colder months, we can take a great amount of consolation in the fact that the departure of summer comes with one major benefit- the return of the most hotly anticipated shows! This week’s deals and steals are bit more quirky than most. A digital graffiti print? A Roman numeral wall clock that can’t stay still? A way to play tic tac toe with… toast? Sure, these aren’t your typical home decor finds, but when they’re on sale, they take on a whole new appeal. If they’re too out there for you, you’ll also find a gorgeous Vera Wang storage box that’s a gift in itself, but we’re much more enamored with ‘Iglu.’ Don’t know who Iglu is? Meet him, and our other super sale items by clicking on the slideshow now! Deals like these won’t last long.
What is better than getting your favorite designers at affordable prices? Target’s GO International line has made it a snap to find these deals, and with a new bout of handbag designers leaving their mark it seems that Target is truly the place to go. Landing in stores in late December is a line by Thakoon Panichgul. New York-based Thakoon had gigs at J.Crew and Harper’s Bazaar, and his classic vintage vibe is certainly covetable. If you head into the store post December 28th you will also have the pleasure of finding a new bag line by Hayden-Harnett. There is sure to be a rush for both of these collections, so mark your calenders, ready… set… GO International! Click over to read the full story at People Stylewatch.
Forget about all the sniping we have been hearing about at Elle Magazine. Creative Director, Joe Zee, and soon to be ex Editor at Large, Nina Garcia both win gold medals for their fashion savvy. To steal a catch word from Bravo’s Rachel Zoe, the majority of the fashion world would “DIE” to be in one their couture pinching shoes. Zee and Garcia set the tone for the fall fashion issue, and it is still tres fabulous. READ MORE about how the September issue, Elle’s largest book to date, weighs in.

It’s official - I’m addicted to enamelware! Although it may have started as a jewelry trend (keyword: trend), I think that enamel kitchenware has some serious staying power. How come? Well, not only are these kitchen necessities super cute and full of color, but they are vintage-inspired as well. From Le Creuset, to Bialetti, to Cuisinart and KitchenAid, almost all major kichenware companies are adding some color to their products. And the result: technicolor cookware that is pretty enough to use as serveware! Now I’m no Susie Homemaker, but this polychrome cookware makes me want to channel my domestic side asap - they are a true visual treat! Another great thing about colorful kitchenware is that they bring a major dose of spunk to tired or outdated kitchens, and without the heavy cost of a remodel. So whether you decide to mix and match different enamel tone, or just go monochrome, introduce some color into your kitchen today! Also be sure to check out my SLIDESHOW for my five favorite enamel kitchenware finds, and search the Hive for even more options!
We’ve all heard the old song and dance about how true style comes from being able to mix high and low-end items together seamlessly. While most starlets seem to abandon this mantra at events which are usually paved with high-fashion, Eva Longoria Parker proved to be a unlikely exception, bringing this style adage to life and showing all how it’s done! At the the Whaleman Foundation Dinner, Eva, pictured with whale-activist extraordinaire Hayden Panettiere in Herve Leger, kept it easy-chic wearing skinny J Brand jeans, a cropped Old Navy belted jacket, YSL pumps, and some fun accessories for a look that deviated from her usual high-maintenance style, exuding fun, carefree glamour. Check out my SLIDESHOW to this fabulous look!
Faith-Love-Hope is lucky she lives in Manila in the Philippines where she can flaunt the cutest short bottoms daily. Laid back shorts paired with crisp clean blazers to playful overall jumper skirts, this stylediarist knows how to make the short look both dressy and casual, but always super stylish. Mixing textures of pieces, like school-girl blazers, casual flats, and frayed edges makes for a fun look that doesn’t look over-polished or hasty, it’s just right! See my five fave leg-baring Faith-Love-Hope stylings in my slideshow and see all she has to offer at her Stylediary page!

Because getting ready in the morning can sometimes dictate how the rest of the day will play out, we have found some weekly celestial advice that may help you make some fashion, as well as everyday, decisions.
